Sawgrass Mills Mall is a unique shopping destination in Sunrise, Florida. It’s located 14 miles west from downtown Fort Lauderdale. This outlet mall is sometimes known as “Sawgrass” and is the largest in the country.
You’ll find a wide range of retail options throughout the complex, including budget-friendly brands like Super Target, Marshalls and J. Crew Factory and Nike Factory Store are luxury brands like Tory Burch and Prada.
Sawgrass also has two Starbucks coffee shops and a post office. There are several restaurants in Sawgrass, including the Cheesecake Factory and California Pizza Kitchen. If you want to explore the whole mall, plan on staying at least one day.
Tourists often drag empty suitcases around Sawgrass Mills to store their purchases.
There is no official Sawgrass Mills shuttle from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. However, there are third-party shuttles or town cars. Renting a car is the best way to get to and from the airport and all of South Florida.
International travelers can even exchange currency at the mall.
Parking in the lot is not always available.
To avoid problems, it is best to visit the mall during weekdays or at opening. You can also park in an area other than the Colonnade and Oasis sections, or right in front of Seasons 52 (valet parking costs between $10-25).
