Riverwalk Arts and Entertainment District

The Riverwalk Arts and Entertainment District boasts 22 blocks of entertainment and art and is one of Fort Lauderdale’s top attractions.

Fort Lauderdale is home to the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society and the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens. The Nova Southeastern University Art Museum, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and the Florida Grand Opera are also available. There are also restaurants, green spaces and movie theaters.

It’s a great way to spend time: a stroll along the New River, or sitting on the riverbank with a cup coffee. Las Olas Boulevard is home to many shops, restaurants, bars, and nightlife venues.

Many people have commented on the ease of walking along the paved sections of the river.

Many people recommend Riverwalk’s free Water Trolley that has eight stops on both the south and north banks of the river.

A water trolley is available every morning at 10 a.m. The trolley is open from 10 p.m. until midnight. You can call 954-TROLLEY to request this service, which is available 24 hours per day. Riders can also use the Sun Trolley Tracker app for location tracking, or wait between 20 and 30 minutes at the closest stop.

For a complete list of all upcoming events, visit the Riverwalk Arts and Entertainment District’s official website.

There are many daily events at the historic homes in the area, including guided tours and annual events like wine and food tours. There are many public parking spots nearby.
